Operations Manager – Clinton Twp., MI location

This is a direct “hands on” supervisory position to lead the plant effectively in order to maintain Quality, Efficiency and employee and customer satisfaction.  Flexibility and adaptability will be required in order to drive the plant to success.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the plant.
  • Responsibility for profit and loss at a plant level.
  • Hire, train and evaluate employees for production and administrative positions.
  • Distribute daily workloads to plant personnel.
  • Oversee the company’s procedures and policies.
  • Assist sales, engineering & production in the development of coating programs.
  • Aid in Root Cause analysis.
  • Assist in the investigation and analysis of new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work with customers in basic conflict resolution.
  • Provide good record keeping and communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Engineering, Material Science, etc.) and/or Business.
  • A minimum of 3 years of production, engineering or technical management experience in an industrial service or manufacturing environment is required.
  • Knowledge of material handling, tooling, vacuum systems, and surface enhancement is desired.
  • Experienced in managing a workforce of 15-20 hourly personnel.
  • Experience in vacuum coating field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PVD and CVD coatings, as well as vacuum heat treating, is a plus.
  • Must have a working knowledge of ISO-9001 Quality Management System.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • US or Canadian citizenship, or permanent US residency is a requirement for this position.

Project Engineer – East Petersburg, PA location

Position will serve as the primary engineering resource for developing, planning and coordinating a broad range of coating programs.  This position will work extensively between sales, engineering and production departments. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist sales, engineering & production in the development and scaling up of major coating programs
  • Aid in Root Cause analysis
  • Assist in the investigation and analysis of new business opportunities
  • Liaise between customer and company in order to set and maintain productivity and quality standards
  • Provide good record keeping and communication skills
  • Some travel may be required

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Engineering, Material Science, etc.)
  • Experience in vacuum coating field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PVD coatings is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001, ISO-13485 and AS9100 is a plus.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America.
  • US or Canadian citizenship, or permanent US residency is a requirement for this position

Coating Technician – PA, MI & KY locations

This job is responsible for the set-up, monitoring and basic maintenance of PVD coating machines.  Position largely entails loading and unloading of machines, basic preventative maintenance, and inputting of parameters into a Windows-based PLC.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining PVD coating machines according to company specifications
  • Minimizing equipment downtime through preventative maintenance procedures
  • Maintaining and updating equipment PM logs
  • Learn fixturing techniques and orientation requirements for proper PVD processing
  • Providing training assistance to other employees
  • Assisting with quality assurance and other technical matters

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent
  • Experience in vacuum coating field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PVD coatings is a plus.
  • Knowledge of tools used in manufacturing (cutting tools, tool & die, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001 is a plus.
  • Strong written and communication skills.

Sales Engineer/Representative – PA/NJ/MD territory, Southeastern US territory, Southwestern US territory, and West Coast territory

This position will entail promotion of our company’s PVD, CVD and TD coating services across a wide variety of tooling and component applications.  While the generation of new accounts is the primary goal, the servicing of existing accounts will also be critical. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform prospecting in designated areas for future business
  • Develop new business by working with engineering and production managers, as needed
  • Maintain relevant customer information
  • Develop and lead the investigation and analysis of new business opportunities
  • Liaise between customer and company in order to set and maintain productivity and quality standards
  • Provide good record keeping and communication skills
  • Travel will be required:  both daily and overnight

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering; equivalent experience (Ex. – Toolmaker) may substitute.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience selling in a manufacturing services or industrial capacity.
  • A basic comprehension of relevant surface treatments (PVD, CVD, TD) is a plus.
  • An understanding of basic manufacturing processes (metal cutting, stamping/forming, etc.) is a plus.
  • A general knowledge of different tooling substrates (tool steels, HSS, carbides, stainless steels, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Effective verbal/writing skills, as well as strong presentation skills, are required.
  • A disciplined approach to organizing sales efforts and effectively work without direct supervision.
  • US or Canadian citizenship, or permanent US residency is a requirement for this position.

Metallurgical Engineer – East Petersburg, PA location

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for complex projects in the developing and implementing method and programs to ensure that the product and process meet specifications and design standards relating to efficiency and quality; be responsible for maintaining and implementing PVD Coating Processes and equipment to improve efficiency and capability; research and develop new processes for PVD coatings as required by the customer and the industry; develop new recipes in assisting the company with the research of better specifications; work with quality control engineers to investigate and resolve quality issues; and responsible production line and set up production schedule and manage production shift.

Minimum Requirements
Master degree in Metallurgical Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
